Introduction Advantages Materials Processes

ComPRIS is a process that allows the infusion of resin into parts and composite laminates using pressure. ComPRIS can be used to:
1.   Produce Fiber-Reinforced Polymer (FRP) composite parts of high strength and quality.
2.   Infuse porous materials with large or small amounts of resin to improve dimensional stability, protect against environmental degradation, and provide fire protection.
3.   Laminate and/or reinforce materials.
    a)  Lamination can be done with prefabricated FRP composite sheets with or;
    b)  Infusion of fiber reinforcement layers can be done during the lamination process.
    c)  A graded interphase rather than an abrupt glueline provides for a stronger bond between component parts.
